Terms & Refunds

1. Who these terms are between

These terms govern your use of the 01ST app and the licences sold on 01st.app. The software is provided by Mohammad Al Masalmeh, trading as Dotiy, Düsseldorf, Germany (see the Imprint). Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as merchant of record for your purchase. Stripe handles payment, invoicing, VAT or sales tax and payment-related support; its own terms and privacy policy apply to that part of the purchase.

2. Free trial

Every download includes a free trial of the full app for 3 days. When the trial ends, 01ST locks until a licence is activated. Your data stays on your Mac and is available again once you activate a licence. The trial can't be extended or restarted.

3. Licence

When you buy a licence, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use 01ST on the number of Macs covered by your plan:

• Solo: 1 Mac — you receive 1 licence key.
• Duo: 2 Macs — you receive 2 licence keys.
• Trio: 3 Macs — you receive 3 licence keys.

Each key activates on one Mac. The price is a one-time payment. There is no subscription. Updates within the current major version are included. A future major version may require a separately priced licence.

4. Moving to a new Mac

You can move a key to another Mac: choose “Deactivate” in 01ST → Settings on the old Mac, then activate the same key on the new one. If the old Mac is no longer available, activate the key on the new Mac and confirm the move; the old Mac then loses access. Each key can be moved up to 3 times in any 12-month period. If you need more, contact us.

5. What you may not do

• Share, resell or publish licence keys, or use a key on more Macs than your plan covers.
• Copy, decompile or reverse-engineer 01ST, or circumvent the licence check, except where the law expressly allows it.
• Use 01ST to violate the rights of others or the terms of third-party services.

If a key is abused, we may deactivate it. We will tell you first where possible.

6. Third-party services

01ST can open services such as Spotify, WhatsApp, Notion or YouTube inside the app. These services belong to their owners, are not affiliated with or endorsed by us, and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Their availability or behaviour inside 01ST may change without notice. Product names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners.

7. Refunds and withdrawal

Our refund promise: if 01ST isn't right for you, email us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund the full price. Refunds go back to your original payment method. Write to support@01st.app and include the email address you used to buy.

Statutory rights: if you are a consumer in the EU, you have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days. For digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, this right can lapse once supply has begun with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose the right. This does not limit the refund promise above or your warranty rights.

8. Warranty and liability

The statutory warranty rights for digital products (§§ 327 ff. BGB) apply. We are liable without limit for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health and under the Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are only liable for the breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the damage typically foreseeable at the time of purchase. Otherwise liability is excluded. 01ST stores your content on your Mac; please keep your own backups.

9. Governing law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live remain unaffected.

10. Changes and contact

We may change these terms for good reason, for example when the product or the law changes. Changes don't apply to purchases made earlier unless they benefit you or the law requires them. Questions: support@01st.app.
